The wedding in Antibes Southern France of our two great friends Sandrine and Tim. Tim a Londoner…Sandrine returning to her birthplace.

Antibes…a coastal city on the Côte d’Azur in South Eastern France, home to locals and a playground for the wealthy who come to show off their super yachts. Whilst we were visiting the Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich was allegedly being refused mooring for his yacht as it was too big for the harbour to accommodate it.

Sandrine grew up here in the local community and her marriage in the town hall was officiated by someone she’d known since she was born. It was beautiful to see how moved he was.

Several of us flew in from London and the UK, crowding the narrow street to to see Sandrine radiant in her gorgeous wedding gown. Being driven in style in a red Mustang convertible.

After official photographs at the Lighthouse, next stop the wonderful restaurant overlooking the sea to eat and party. We were seated on the ‘Danny Blanchflower’ table along with other Tottenham Hotspur supporters! Top 3 photographs above taken by the official wedding photographer Tess Baes Photographe. Tim and Sandrine took to the dance floor to the official James Bond theme. Fun to catch up with Dan, Sam and baby Martha…Simon and Heidi and Andrew.

The end of an amazing day; the cake came out, everyone sang, sparklers lit up the room and Tim and Sandrine went for it singing at the top of their lungs. Leaving at 3am Dave and I walked 40 minutes back to the hotel (70 euros for a taxi!) wandering the roads between mansions to our tiny room where we had to open the bedroom door to be able to access the wardrobe. Only one night away but what a fantastic one night it was.
